Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, March 2025 – Malini Narayanamoorthi has been elevated to the role of Country Head (India) at Renesas Electronics, while continuing her current responsibilities as Vice President, MID Engineering. This strategic appointment reflects her growing influence in the semiconductor sector and her pivotal role in driving innovation, engineering excellence, and operational leadership at Renesas.
With over two decades of experience in the semiconductor industry, Malini has built an impressive track record of leading cross-functional teams, delivering scalable solutions, and driving organizational transformation. Her journey at Renesas Electronics began in early 2023 as Senior Director of Engineering, eventually becoming the Country Head and Senior Director, and now leading as Vice President, MID Engineering and Country Head, India.
Before joining Renesas, she spent over six years at Rambus, where she held Director-level roles in both Engineering and Applications Engineering, focusing on semiconductor IP solutions for data centers, servers, storage, and networking. Prior to Rambus, she was Applications Engineering Manager at Snowbush® IP (acquired by Semtech), where she led teams across geographies, managed customer relationships, and executed technical programs from pre-sales to delivery.
Malini also served as Senior Corporate Applications Engineer at Synopsys Inc, where she provided hands-on IP integration support, mentored new hires, and engaged directly with global customers. Her early career included key roles at National Semiconductor India Pvt Ltd, contributing to design automation, integration testing, and tool flow improvements.
In her new capacity, Malini will spearhead strategic initiatives to further expand Renesas’ India operations, while continuing to lead engineering innovations across product lines. Her leadership will be instrumental in shaping the company’s growth in one of the world’s most dynamic semiconductor markets.
