Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, March 2025 – Thomas Vengal has been appointed as Head of Product Management at Tata Communications, where he will lead the product strategy and development for Tata Vayu Cloud, the company’s flagship cloud solution. With a career spanning over two decades in high-tech product leadership, Thomas brings deep expertise in data platforms, AI services, and cloud computing. His appointment is a significant step in Tata Communications’ mission to accelerate India’s digital transformation through innovation and scalable cloud infrastructure.
Before joining Tata Communications, Thomas served as Director at Walmart Global Tech India, where he led the design and delivery of Walmart’s Data & AI platform products. This included building hyper-scale solutions such as machine learning platforms, generative AI systems, anomaly detection engines, and data analytics tools. His leadership was instrumental in democratizing data across the enterprise and improving platform adoption through product-led growth strategies.
Prior to Walmart, Thomas held global leadership roles at Oracle, where he managed real-time data replication and stream analytics products. As an executive sponsor for emerging markets, he also shaped go-to-market strategies across Asia Pacific and the Middle East. At Informatica, he oversaw enterprise and cloud integration portfolios, while at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, he contributed to the development of observability and data center management products.
With a solid foundation in product strategy, cloud computing, and cross-functional team leadership, Thomas Vengal is poised to shape the future of Tata Vayu Cloud, driving customer-centric innovation and industry leadership.
