New York, United States, June 2024 – Dr. Abhishek Tiwary will be assuming the role of Global HR Head for KPMG Delivery Network (KDN), effective from 8 July, and will be based out of New York. KDN will essentially shape the future of how KPMG delivers services for clients and member firms around the world. With a distinguished background in human resources, Dr. Tiwary brings extensive expertise in HR leadership, diversity, equity, inclusion, and organizational transformation.

Dr. Abhishek Tiwary joins KPMG Delivery Network after his tenure at Tech Mahindra, where he served as the Senior Vice President, Human Resources for approximately 1 year and 3 months. In this role, he led strategic HR initiatives, fostering talent development, and driving organizational growth in India.

Prior to Tech Mahindra, Dr. Tiwary was the Executive Director – Human Resources | Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at KPMG US for about 4 years. Based in the United States, he spearheaded HR strategies, focusing on enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization.

Dr. Tiwary also spent nearly 11 years at KPMG Global Services (KGS) in various HR leadership roles. He served as the Chief Human Resources Officer for approximately 2 years and 6 months, and prior to that, he was the Director of Human Resources for around 4 years and 6 months in Gurgaon, India. Earlier, he held the position of Associate Director – HR in Mumbai, India, for approximately 3 years and 10 months, where he played a key role in shaping the HR framework and policies.

Before his tenure at KPMG, Dr. Tiwary worked at Convergys for about 2 years and 8 months in Mumbai, India, where he served as the Senior Manager, Human Resources and earlier as the Manager, Human Resources. In these roles, he managed HR operations, talent acquisition, and employee engagement initiatives.

Dr. Tiwary’s early career includes roles at Amdocs as a Senior Executive – HR for about 11 months in Pune, India, and at Tata Consultancy Services as an Assistant Manager – HR for approximately 1 year in Mumbai, India. Additionally, he worked as an Associate Producer / Correspondent – TV News at Star TV Network for about 1 year in Mumbai, India, and served in the Indian Navy as a Sub Lieutenant for approximately 2 years and 9 months, gaining diverse experiences across various naval stations in India.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
