Gurugram, Haryana, India, March 2026 – VRC Group has appointed Dr. Devender Sharma as Executive Director – Human Resources, strengthening the organization’s leadership team as it continues to expand its infrastructure and construction operations across India.
Dr. Sharma brings more than three decades of HR leadership experience across manufacturing, construction, infrastructure, and automotive sectors. In his new role at VRC Group, he will lead the company’s people strategy, HR governance, and talent development initiatives, aligning human capital practices with the group’s long-term business growth objectives.
Prior to joining VRC Group, Dr. Sharma served as Founder and Managing Director of DeReCo Corp Private Limited, an HR consulting firm focused on providing recruitment, staffing management, training, and business consulting services to organizations across sectors including automobiles, electronics, healthcare, and education.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Sharma held several senior HR leadership roles across leading organizations. He served as Vice President – HR at Okinawa Scooters & Motorcycles, Group HR Head at BGCC Infra, and Country Head – HR (Senior General Manager) at Galfar Engineering. During these roles, he led large-scale HR transformation initiatives, implemented performance management systems, and introduced structured HR policies aligned with global best practices.
Dr. Sharma also held leadership roles with Ashok Leyland, where he served as General Manager – HR, overseeing HR activities for white-collar employees across India. Prior to that, he served as Head – HR at Samsung Electronics, leading HR functions for the company’s manufacturing operations in India. His earlier experience includes roles with DSC Limited, SICPA India, and LML Limited, where he played a key role in strengthening HR processes, industrial relations, and organizational development initiatives.
