Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, May 2025 – HCLTech, a global technology company, has announced the appointment of Dr. Gaurav Dhakar as Head – GenAI Governance and Adoption, where he will lead the organization’s “Industry-First Repeatable Solutions” initiative. In this role, Dr. Dhakar will drive AI/GenAI-powered innovations that address industry-specific challenges and deliver measurable outcomes across the enterprise value chain.
Dr. Dhakar brings a strong strategic and execution-oriented background in GenAI, digital transformation, and go-to-market strategy. Prior to joining HCLTech, he served at Persistent Systems as Chief Principal Consultant – GenAI, where he played a pivotal role in building a sustainable and secure GenAI ecosystem and led key growth initiatives as part of the CEO Office. His efforts significantly influenced digital acceleration for global clients through responsible innovation.
Previously, he led business strategy and operations at Emxcel, supporting SaaS product development and ecosystem alliances. During his tenure at Ola, he helmed strategy and operations for Ola SPL, driving omni-channel customer and partner experiences and forging government partnerships for EV mobility readiness.
Earlier, as Head of Enterprise Sales and Management Consulting at Palladium, Dr. Dhakar spearheaded initiatives for smart city projects, grassroots skilling platforms, and strategic consulting engagements with Fortune 500 companies. His strategic insight and experience further expanded during his leadership roles at GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd and CEAT Tyres, where he contributed to strategy planning, retail operations, and transformation programs.
Dr. Dhakar holds an MBA in Marketing and IT Management from NMIMS, and began his career in ERP consulting with Hexaware Technologies. He is widely recognized for his leadership in AI adoption, digital innovation, and large-scale transformation programs.
