With a remarkable career spanning over 32 years in both the academic and corporate sectors, Dr. Mukhopadhyaya brings to the table an unparalleled depth of knowledge and experience. His tenure commenced in March 2024, marking the start of a new chapter in Kolkata, West Bengal, where he will be based.
Prior to his current role, Dr. Mukhopadhyaya has been recognized for his significant contributions in various esteemed institutions and companies. Notably, he served as a Professor of Finance at the Army Institute of Management for nearly three years, where his expertise in Corporate Finance was highly valued. Before that, he was the Director & Professor at Heritage Business School for nine months, following an impressive five-year stint as Director at the J.D. Birla Institute. His corporate journey includes pivotal roles at Srei Capital Markets Ltd, where he began as Senior Vice President, and later, he significantly impacted the academic world as a Professor of Finance and then Dean at Globsyn, dedicating 12 years to shaping future leaders.
Dr. Mukhopadhyaya’s career is distinguished by his transformational leadership, focusing on enhancing brand equity, return on capital, and fostering a high-quality research environment. His efforts in improving the educational ecosystem, increasing faculty motivation, and strengthening corporate connections have consistently elevated the institutions he has been part of. Additionally, his role as a visiting faculty at various Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and his involvement in executive education for top corporates underscore his commitment to excellence in education and industry collaboration.
