Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, December 2025 — Dr Jitendra Sharma has been elevated to Sr. President – Group Human Resources at Wilmar International, Shree Renuka Sugars Limited in Mumbai. In this expanded role, he leads the people strategy for one of India’s most integrated sugar and ethanol businesses within the Wilmar Group, with a strong focus on HR transformation, organisational design, leadership development, culture enhancement and capability building.
As Sr. President – Group Human Resources at Wilmar International Renuka Sugars Limited, Dr Sharma oversees HR across 13 manufacturing units in India, including refineries, distilleries, power plants, integrated sugar complexes, regional sales offices and third-party packaging facilities, anchored by Madhur Sugar, a leading consumer sugar brand. With a foundation in HR development, international leadership coaching and Lean Six Sigma, he works to build an inclusive, future-ready and high-performance organisation where people, processes and purpose are closely aligned.
Before this elevation, Dr Jitendra Sharma served for around seven years as President – Group Human Resources at Wilmar International Renuka Sugars Limited in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He led HR transformation, organisation development and capability-building initiatives supporting the group’s integrated sugar and ethanol operations under the Wilmar umbrella.
Earlier, Dr Sharma was Vice President – Human Resource at NSL Group (Hyderabad) in the Greater Hyderabad Area for about eight years. At NSL Group, which operates diversified businesses in sugar, power, textiles, seeds and infrastructure, he helped shape people practices for a multi-business conglomerate and engaged closely with leadership across sectors.
Prior to NSL, he worked as Head – Human Resources at Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Limited in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India for nearly six years. Bajaj Hindusthan is among Asia’s largest companies in sugar, ethanol, country liquor, MDF and particle board, and he managed human resource management across a large industrial workforce spread over multiple plants.
Before that, Dr Jitendra Sharma served as Head – HR & Administration at TCNS Limited in Saket, New Delhi for about a year. TCNS Group operates garment manufacturing and export operations across Delhi NCR, Bangladesh and Hong Kong and is known for the women’s apparel brand ‘W’, giving him exposure to HR in the fashion and apparel sector.
He also spent close to three years as Sr. Executive – HR at Benetton Group in Barakhamba, New Delhi, supporting HR for a leading global fashion brand with a wide Indian retail presence. Dr Sharma began his HR career as Officer – HR & Administration at Knorr-Bremse in the Faridabad Area, India, a world leader in braking systems for rail and commercial vehicles, gaining strong grounding in core and industrial HR.
