Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, December 2025 — APAR Industries Limited has appointed Dr. Vinod Kumar Singh as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In this role, Dr. Singh will lead the organization’s people strategy, HR transformation agenda, leadership development initiatives, and workforce excellence programs, supporting APAR Industries’ continued growth and expansion across global markets.

Before joining APAR Industries Limited, Dr. Vinod Kumar Singh served as Joint President – HR, Admin & PR at UltraTech Cement (UAE), where he spent over seven years leading large-scale HR, administration, and public relations functions. In this role, he played a key role in driving organizational design, culture transformation, employer branding, and people strategy across operations in the United Arab Emirates, working closely with business leadership during phases of scale and operational maturity. pasted

Prior to this, Dr. Singh had a long and impactful association with the Aditya Birla Group, where he held multiple senior HR leadership roles for nearly a decade. As Joint President – HR for Birlacril™ (Thai Acrylic Fibre Co.), he oversaw HR operations for acrylic fibre and overseas spinning businesses, covering geographies including Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Egypt. His responsibilities spanned workforce planning, industrial relations, leadership capability building, and cross-cultural people integration in complex international environments. pasted

Earlier in his career, Dr. Singh served as Assistant Vice President at Thai Rayon Public Company Limited, also part of the Aditya Birla Group, where he led HR for Thai Rayon and overseas spinning businesses. This phase of his career further strengthened his expertise in international HR operations, people management, and organizational effectiveness in manufacturing-led environments. pasted

Dr. Singh’s foundational leadership experience was built through senior roles at AmbujaNeotia Group, Ambuja Cements Limited, and DAEWOO International Corporation, where he handled corporate HR setup, plant HR and administration, industrial relations, and large workforce operations. His early professional journey began in engineering and project coordination roles at Hilton Rubbers Limited, providing him with a strong grounding in operations before transitioning fully into human resources leadership. pasted

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
