Weirton, West Virginia, United States – October 2024 – Drew Schauble has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer at Weirton Medical Center (WMC) of WVU Medicine. In his new role, Drew will oversee financial integration and management of both the hospital and affiliated physician practices. He will lead budgeting, capital planning, cost management, long-term investments, and strategic financial planning to support the center’s objectives.
Drew has been part of WVU Medicine for over 5 years, previously serving as Director of Operations and Communications at the Heart & Vascular Institute, where he managed strategic growth, hospital integration, and revenue cycle optimization. His responsibilities included budgeting and reporting for over 230 providers, generating significant revenue and guiding quality efforts.
Before WVU Medicine, Drew was the Manager of Finance at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, managing financial oversight for a 300+ bed hospital and 15 service lines.
Prior to this, he held various finance roles at UPMC, including Manager of Finance & Revenue Cycle, Lead Financial Analyst, and Financial Analyst. He was instrumental in financial analysis, budgeting, revenue cycle management, and the implementation of process improvements across multiple hospital divisions.
