Irving, Texas, United States, June 2026 — McKesson Corporation has announced the appointment of Drew Schwichow as Vice President, National Accounts Specialty Alternate Sites, marking a return to the healthcare giant after more than 15 years of distinguished leadership service earlier in his career. A seasoned healthcare executive with extensive experience across healthcare distribution, specialty pharmaceuticals, medical devices, supply chain operations, commercial strategy, and sales leadership, Drew will lead national accounts strategy and growth initiatives across McKesson’s Specialty Alternate Sites business.
The appointment represents a homecoming for Drew, who previously spent over 14 years with McKesson in a series of progressively senior leadership roles. His return brings a unique combination of institutional knowledge, industry expertise, and external leadership experience gained across some of healthcare’s most respected organizations.
Prior to rejoining McKesson, Drew served as Vice President, GPO Commercial Operations & Business Services at Cencora, where he led high-performing teams spanning commercial operations, contract administration, inside sales, membership services, finance, and compliance within the Specialty Health GPO business. In this role, he drove commercial excellence, supported national field sales organizations, and ensured alignment between strategic objectives, operational execution, and regulatory requirements.
Before Cencora, Drew built an impressive leadership career during his previous tenure at McKesson, where he held multiple executive roles across sales, supply chain, risk management, and strategic growth. Most recently, he served as Vice President, Strategic Projects, leading national supply chain coordination efforts for COVID-19 therapeutics across 26 distribution centers during one of the most critical periods in healthcare history. His leadership ensured uninterrupted product availability while balancing federal oversight requirements and patient care priorities.
Earlier, he served as Vice President, Global Commercial Partnerships – Clinical Trials, where he successfully built and scaled a global clinical trial supply chain business, growing revenue from less than $50 million to more than $300 million while expanding operations across North America and Europe. Prior leadership roles at McKesson also included Senior Director, Commercial Risk & Distribution Strategy, Vice President of Sales, and District Sales Manager, where he consistently delivered revenue growth, operational excellence, and market expansion across multiple healthcare segments.
Prior to his leadership journey at McKesson, Drew held sales leadership positions with Biomet, Medtronic Spine & Biologics, and Merck, developing deep expertise in healthcare sales, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, physician engagement, and commercial strategy. Earlier in his career, he served in the United States Marine Corps as a Squad Leader, an experience that helped shape the leadership principles and operational discipline that have defined his professional journey.
Drew holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Louisiana State University. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for developing high-performing teams, driving business transformation, managing complex healthcare operations, and delivering sustainable growth in highly regulated environments.
At McKesson, Drew is expected to play a critical role in strengthening national account relationships, accelerating business growth, and supporting the organization’s mission of improving healthcare access, affordability, and outcomes across the healthcare ecosystem.
