Charlotte, North Carolina, United States, September 2024 – Dru Johnson has taken on the role of Vice President, Lead Human Resources Business Partner at Wells Fargo. In this capacity, Johnson will provide HR leadership for Consumer, Small & Business Banking and partner with senior executives to drive HR strategies for organizational success.
Johnson previously worked at Vanguard, where she held several senior HR roles over a span of more than 20 years. Most recently, she served as Regional HR Executive and Global HR Business Partner for Vanguard’s North Carolina site, overseeing HR strategy and supporting the Office of General Counsel globally. Her tenure included shaping talent strategy, organizational development, and performance management for more than 2,400 employees.
Prior to this, Johnson was Regional HR Lead and Employee Relations Process Advisor at Vanguard for nearly three and a half years. She was a key driver in enhancing employee engagement, culture, and talent strategies while also launching a revamped Anonymous Reporting Hotline that significantly improved usage and mitigated organizational risk.
Earlier in her tenure at Vanguard, Johnson served as Regional HR Manager, collaborating with the Executive Team to formulate human capital strategies for a workforce of over 1,800 employees. During her time in this role, she designed a human capital scorecard to increase executive visibility into key demographic trends and site priorities.
Before transitioning into leadership roles, Johnson held positions such as Corporate Training Manager and HR Training and Operations Manager, where she led training initiatives for the North Carolina site and managed Vanguard’s Leadership Development Program.
