Accra, Ghana, October 2024 – Ebow Nyamekye Allen-Koufie has been appointed as Head of Human Resources & Admin at Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems Limited (GhIPSS). In his new role, Ebow will lead GhIPSS’ human resources strategy, focusing on talent management, employee engagement, leadership development, and rewards management. Additionally, he will oversee administrative operations to support the growing needs of the institution.
Before joining GhIPSS, Ebow served as a Senior Manager of Human Capital Consulting at Deloitte for three months, where he specialized in HR transformation and organizational development strategies. His work involved consulting on workforce transformation and providing advisory services for human capital management across various sectors.
Prior to Deloitte, Ebow was the Manager of People & Culture Governance & Operations at CalBank PLC for over six years. In this role, he managed the entire employee life cycle, overseeing onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement. Ebow also led the development and implementation of HR policies and strategies aligned with the bank’s goals.
Ebow also spent time at Republic Bank Ghana, initially as a HR Business Partner and later as the Manager of Human Resource Planning, where he was responsible for workforce planning, talent management, and performance management across 700 employees. He played a key role in ensuring that HR initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy of the bank.
Earlier in his career, Ebow worked as a HR Business Partner at UT Bank Limited, providing strategic HR support to the retail banking unit. His core responsibilities included manpower planning, talent management, and performance management. He collaborated closely with business leaders to drive HR initiatives that improved business outcomes.
Ebow began his HR career at ProCredit Ghana, where he worked in various roles, including Human Resources Specialist and Acting Head of Staff Training and Development. In these positions, he led recruitment programs, provided training and development support, and implemented HR policies to ensure high professional standards across the organization.
