Atlanta, Georgia, United States, June 2024 – Edgar Acosta Chaparro has been named Vice President of Rewards & Systems at Novelis, stepping into his new role this month. Edgar’s extensive experience in HR and compensation strategy positions him well to lead Novelis’s global HR initiatives.
Edgar has been with Novelis for nearly 12 years. Prior to his current role, he served as VP, Human Resources – Corporate & Global R&T & HR Technology for 2 years and 6 months. In this role, Edgar led initiatives to enhance Novelis’s global HR service delivery model, ensuring that the company remained a premier employer of choice.
Before that, he was the Director Human Resources – R&D, based in Kennesaw, for 1 year and 10 months. In this capacity, Edgar was responsible for driving HR strategies and supporting the R&D functions within the organization.
Edgar also served as the Director, Human Resources North-America for 1 year and 7 months, where he managed HR operations and strategies across the North American region, contributing significantly to the company’s growth and development.
Earlier in his tenure at Novelis, Edgar held the position of Director HRIS & North America Payroll for over 5 years. In this role, he led the global design, architectural roadmap, and changes needed for Novelis’s HR System Landscape, ensuring smooth transitions to new and enhanced processes and systems.
Before joining Novelis, Edgar was a Director HR Process & Technology at Express Scripts, where he developed a 3-year HR Technology roadmap and led the HR technology work stream for a major acquisition.
His earlier roles include various HRIS leadership positions at Monsanto Company, where he managed complex HR environments across multiple regions and led several successful HR technology implementations.
