Friedrichshafen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, July 2024 – Edgar Deutscher has started his new position as the Global Head of HR Project Management Office at ZF Group. In this role, Edgar will be responsible for establishing global project management standards within HR and steering the global HR project portfolio.
Edgar Deutscher has been with ZF Group for over eight years. Most recently, he served as the Manager of Corporate Structure & Organization, PMI, where he developed innovative organizational solutions and provided governance and strategic advice on structural change programs across various departments, including Sales, IT, and HR.
Prior to this, Edgar held the position of First Vice President of Project & Portfolio Management at UniCredit. During his tenure from April 2013 to June 2016, he steered the corporate project portfolio, managed senior project leaders, and set up an in-house consulting unit comprising over 100 consultants.
From June 2012 to March 2013, he was the Head of Strategic Projects – Global Banking Services at UniCredit in Munich, managing key strategic projects of UniCredit Bank AG. He also served as the Global Head of Strategic Projects & Business Strategy – Division Private Banking from January 2011 to May 2012 in Milan, focusing on cost-optimization of the existing operating model for International Private Banking.
Earlier in his career at UniCredit, Edgar was the Global Head of Change & Process Management – International Private Banking Division, where he developed and operationally rolled out a customer-centric private banking model and managed key restructuring projects.
Before joining UniCredit, Edgar held significant roles at Capgemini and BearingPoint, where he managed customer management and CRM service offerings for the financial services industry in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Edgar began his career at Deutsche Bank, where he served as the Team Lead for Data Warehousing and Sales Systems from June 1994 to December 1999, designing and rolling out CRM systems for the Corporate Division.
