Cambridge, England, United Kingdom, July 2024 – Eleanor Winder has commenced her new role as Head of People Strategy & Planning at Tesco. In this role, Eleanor will be adding People Strategy, Portfolio Planning, Governance, and Risk to her accountabilities alongside the People Operating Model.
Eleanor Winder has been with Tesco for over four years. Prior to her new role, she served as the Head of People Operating Model, where she was responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s HR operational strategies. Before this, she was on a secondment as the Head of Talent & Executive Resourcing, demonstrating her versatility and leadership within the HR domain.
Her tenure at Tesco began as the Global Mobility Lead, where she managed the complexities of global employee mobility, ensuring compliance and smooth transitions for internationally mobile employees.
Before joining Tesco, Eleanor gained valuable experience at Rolls-Royce. She served as a People Partner, where she supported leadership teams in developing and implementing business strategies with a strong focus on people and organizational elements. Her role also included coaching leadership teams and ensuring effective HR strategy delivery. Earlier at Rolls-Royce, she was the Technical Assistant to HR, supporting the Chief People Officer with key projects and meetings, and managing the HR Business Plan Deployment.
Eleanor’s career started at PwC as a Tax Senior Associate and Tax Associate. Here, she built strong expatriate tax technical skills and developed a working knowledge of HMRC legislation and guidance. This was followed by a role as Tax Compliance Manager at Rolls-Royce, where she managed global tax compliance for internationally mobile employees.
