Elise Kirtland Appointed as Vice President Talent Management at Grainger

Lake Forest, Illinois, United States, October 2024 – Elise Kirtland has been appointed as the new Vice President Talent Management at Grainger, where she will lead talent strategies to foster employee development and drive workforce excellence. In this role, Elise will focus on talent management initiatives that align with Grainger’s growth objectives, supporting the development of high-performing teams across the organization.

Elise has been with Grainger for over five years. Prior to her current role, she served as Vice President of Human Resources, where she led HR operations and strategy for the company from 2022. During her time in this position, Elise was responsible for overseeing HR processes and aligning talent strategies with Grainger’s broader business objectives, particularly in the Greater Chicago Area.

Before that, Elise held the position of Senior Director of Human Resources at Grainger for almost three years, where she was the HR leader for Grainger’s technology group, directly supporting the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Product Officer (CPO) in shaping HR strategies that enabled business success.

Prior to joining Grainger, Elise spent over 12 years at Aon in various leadership roles. Most notably, she was the Senior Director, Global Talent Leader & Global Head of Performance, Careers, and Engagement, where she led the global center of excellence responsible for Aon’s performance management, career assessments, and engagement strategies. Elise also spearheaded the implementation of Workday for performance management across Aon globally.

Earlier in her career at Aon, Elise served as the HR Director, supporting global functions such as finance, real estate, and investor relations. She also served as Chief of Staff to Aon’s CHRO during her tenure from 2014 to 2016, driving HR initiatives across multiple business units.
