Toronto, Ontario, Canada, March 2025 – Elizebeth John has been appointed as TTS Head Canada at Citi, where she will be responsible for driving Citi’s Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) business strategy and growth in the region. With a career spanning over two decades in corporate banking, transaction services, and financial strategy, Elizebeth brings a wealth of expertise to her new role.
Elizebeth has been with Citi for over 11 years, holding key leadership roles across various global markets. Most recently, she served as MD – Deposits & Investments, Asia, Europe, UK, Middle East, and Africa, where she led the strategic direction and business expansion of Citi’s TTS division. Prior to this, she was Managing Director – TTS EMEA Deposits & Investments Head, overseeing the market management and liquidity solutions for corporate and institutional clients. Earlier, she held positions such as TTS EMEA Market Management Head and Team Leader – EMEA Cash Management Sales, where she played a critical role in revenue growth, client relationship management, and sales leadership.
Before her tenure at Citi’s global operations, Elizebeth was Sales Head – Citi Transaction Services, South India, where she successfully led transaction banking solutions for corporate clients. She began her career in financial services with ICICI Bank as a Corporate Banking Relationship Manager, later moving to Standard Chartered Bank as Relationship Manager, Global Corporates, where she developed expertise in corporate lending, capital markets, and trade finance solutions.
Elizebeth holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM Bangalore). Her strong financial acumen and leadership experience position her well to drive Citi’s continued growth in Canada’s transaction banking market.
