Athens, Attiki, Greece, March 2026 — Aristeides Georgiopoulos has started his new role as Chief Financial Officer at Vamvacas Industrial Equipment SA, bringing extensive international finance leadership experience across global pharmaceutical and industrial organizations.
In his new position at Vamvacas Industrial Equipment SA, Aristeides will lead the company’s financial strategy, capital allocation, operational efficiency, and long-term value creation initiatives. He is expected to strengthen financial governance, optimize performance metrics, and support the company’s expansion across Greece and the Balkans.
Prior to this appointment, Aristeides spent nearly 11 years at Roche, where he held multiple senior finance leadership roles across Europe and Asia. Most recently, within eCoE Global Finance in Athens, he spearheaded the “Data to Insights” ERP initiative covering a €22 billion Pharma International portfolio across 110 countries. He enhanced transparency in product development and medical spend, co-shaped strategic roadmaps with global CROs, and mentored finance leaders through structured development programs.
Earlier at Roche, he served as Finance Director of R&D and Manufacturing in Shanghai, where he navigated complex regulatory environments to avert an R&D site shutdown, delivered a 20% reduction in R&D expenses, and improved manufacturing ROI through performance-driven models. In Bucharest, as Director of Finance and Operations, he doubled patient access under national protocols, delivered double-digit growth, and automated core operational processes to enhance efficiency.
Before Roche, Aristeides held finance leadership positions at Pfizer, where he led ERP transformation, supported business unit restructuring, and managed financial risk during the Greek economic crisis. His earlier experience includes roles at Frigoglass, Sara Lee, Avon Cosmetics, and Alpha Bank, where he built deep expertise in financial planning, reporting, ERP transformation, and performance management.
