Reflections on 2024:

Reflecting on 2024, Dr. Dahagam acknowledges the profound lessons gained from transitioning into a startup ecosystem. The shift from a structured, well-established environment to the dynamic, ever-evolving world of a startup presented unique challenges. Stakeholders often came with unconventional expectations, requiring a delicate balance between social dynamics and business objectives within the workplace.

The real essence of VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity) became a lived reality, with ambiguities permeating policies, procedures, and decision-making frameworks. This environment demanded agility and adaptability, especially in shaping a culture that could thrive amidst uncertainty. To address these challenges, Dr. Dahagam adopted a PITSTOP approach, where quick yet thoughtful adjustments were made to maintain momentum while preparing for sustainable growth.

“2024 was a year of embracing ambiguity, balancing social and business dynamics, and navigating the unstructured challenges of a startup environment.”

Resolutions for 2025:

As Dr. Dahagam looks ahead to 2025, his focus is on driving purpose in every action. By bringing greater clarity to roles across the organization, he aims to align individual contributions with the company’s broader mission. This clarity will foster accountability, empower employees, and create a cohesive workplace culture.

A major priority for the year is automation and digitization, which he believes are pivotal to enhancing employee experiences across all stages of the lifecycle. From recruitment to retention, leveraging technology will streamline processes, improve engagement, and enable employees to focus on value-adding tasks.

In addition to embracing technology, Dr. Dahagam is committed to upskilling and reskilling the workforce. By equipping employees with the skills required for evolving business landscapes, the organization will not only stay competitive but also nurture a culture of continuous learning. This is further supported by his goal of improving hiring effectiveness, ensuring the right talent is placed in roles where they can excel.

Lastly, analytics will play a critical role in decision-making processes. By harnessing data insights, Dr. Dahagam plans to optimize talent strategies, predict workforce trends, and measure the impact of HR initiatives with greater precision.

“In 2025, my focus is on driving purpose in actions, enhancing employee experiences through technology, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.”
