In this role, Emily will leverage her extensive experience within the organization, where she has served for over three years, to spearhead strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing healthcare services and operational efficiency.
Career Advancement at Sanford Health Plan Previously, Emily held the position of Vice President of Operations from November 2021 to May 2024. Her leadership in this role was marked by significant enhancements in operational processes and improvements in member services, setting the stage for her new responsibilities in driving innovative growth strategies and transformative health solutions.
Before her role as Vice President, Emily was the Vice President of Population Health & Clinical Operations at Sanford Health, a position she held from December 2020 to May 2022. Here, she led critical health management initiatives that substantially improved patient health outcomes across the region.
Academic and Research Involvement In addition to her executive roles, Emily continues to contribute academically as an Assistant Professor at The University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine since April 2015, focusing on pediatric health and population health research.
Emily’s extensive background includes positions such as Senior Executive Director and Director of Population Health at Sanford Health. Her academic tenure at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and role as a Public Health Analyst at the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services have provided her with a robust foundation in public health policy and data analysis, enriching her capabilities in her current leadership role.
