Seattle, Washington, United States, September 2024 – Emmi Jensen has started her new role as Head of Talent Acquisition at RunPod, where she will lead recruitment efforts to attract top-tier, diverse talent and support the company’s growth in GPU cloud computing services. As the first talent acquisition hire at RunPod, Emmi will play a crucial role in developing inclusive recruiting strategies and building a strong, dynamic team that will drive the company’s mission forward.

Prior to joining RunPod, Emmi spent over seven years at Ookla, where she held several key positions. Most recently, she served as Director of Talent Acquisition, where she led a team to support global recruitment needs for the company’s various markets, including managing recruiting processes for technical, executive, and non-technical roles. During her tenure at Ookla, Emmi significantly enhanced the company’s talent acquisition strategies by focusing on process improvements and increasing recruitment efficiencies.

Before becoming Director, Emmi was Head of Talent at Ookla, where she built the internal recruitment team from scratch and spearheaded initiatives to ensure the company maintained a high bar for talent, especially in the technology and network intelligence sectors.

Emmi also served as a Technical/Non-Technical Recruiter at Moz, where she helped grow the company from 60 to over 200 employees. She was deeply involved in all facets of hiring, from technical roles to executive-level and non-technical positions. At Moz, Emmi implemented key processes such as the applicant tracking system and worked closely with hiring managers to develop robust recruiting strategies.

Her recruiting journey began at SEOmoz as a Recruiting Coordinator, where she quickly progressed to a full recruiter role within five months due to her exceptional contributions to the talent acquisition function.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
