Toronto, Ontario, Canada – October 2024 – Eric Fry has stepped into the role of Vice President of Human Resources, Strategic Initiatives at CIBC. In this position, Eric will be responsible for driving forward key HR initiatives that align with CIBC’s strategic vision, focusing on enhancing talent strategies, workforce optimization, and organizational development.
Eric has been with CIBC for over six years, progressing through various leadership roles. Most recently, he held the position of Vice President, Client Account Management (Collections), where he directed strategic client solutions and managed accounts to support the bank’s collections operations. Before that, Eric served as Vice President of Enterprise Cash Management Services, Retail Client Services, where he was instrumental in advancing cash management solutions and improving service quality for retail clients.
Earlier in his career, Eric contributed to CIBC Capital Markets for nearly a decade, where he served as Executive Director, Wholesale Banking CFO, Investment Banking, and Executive Director, Cash Equities. His experience in finance, operations, and strategic client management positions him well to lead CIBC’s HR strategic initiatives and enhance its workforce capabilities.
