Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, July 2024 – Eric Levenhagen has been appointed as the new CHRO & SVP Flight Operations at Sun Country Airlines. In this role, Eric will lead the Human Resources and Flight Operations teams, focusing on driving strategic initiatives, enhancing employee engagement, and ensuring operational excellence.
Eric Levenhagen has been with Sun Country Airlines for nearly eight years. Prior to his new role, he served as the SVP & Chief Human Resources Officer from July 2022 to July 2024. In this capacity, he was instrumental in overseeing HR functions, developing talent strategies, and fostering a culture of inclusion and innovation.
Before his tenure as SVP & CHRO, Eric held the position of General Counsel, Chief Administrative Officer, & Secretary from April 2018 to July 2022. His responsibilities included managing legal affairs, corporate governance, and administrative functions, contributing significantly to the company’s strategic direction.
Eric also served as EVP Legal & HR, General Counsel from April 2017 to April 2018 and as General Counsel from September 2016 to April 2017. During this period, he provided legal expertise and leadership, ensuring compliance and supporting various business initiatives.
Prior to joining Sun Country Airlines, Eric worked as Assistant General Counsel at Landmark Aviation (n/k/a Signature Flight Support) in Houston, Texas Area, from September 2014 to August 2016. In this role, he managed legal matters, including regulatory compliance, contracts, and corporate transactions.
