Mexico City, Mexico, July 2025 – Eric Melis has been promoted to the role of Chief Marketing Officer – PepsiCo Latin America Beverages at PepsiCo, bringing over two decades of global brand marketing experience to the position. Based in Mexico City, Eric will now spearhead the strategic vision, brand building, and innovation agenda across PepsiCo’s beverage portfolio in the Latin America region.
Eric has been with PepsiCo for nearly nine years, most recently serving as Vice President – Global Brand Marketing for flagship brands including Pepsi, 7UP, Mountain Dew, and Mirinda. In this role, he led cross-functional teams in brand positioning, creative transformation, and portfolio revitalization, delivering growth across multiple markets and spearheading campaigns that resonated with a global audience.
Earlier, he held leadership roles as VP – Global Brand Marketing for 7UP, Mirinda, and Mountain Dew and as VP Marketing for PepsiCo Foods Central America, Caribbean & Southern Cone. During these assignments, he played a critical role in regional expansion, cultural marketing, and innovation across diverse consumer segments.
Before his global and regional assignments, Eric led the Latin America Social Beverages Category and served as Senior Marketing Director for CSD LAB based in Mexico City. In both roles, he focused on business transformation and portfolio strategy, helping strengthen brand equity across PepsiCo’s core offerings.
Eric’s earlier experiences include nearly five years at GEPP, where he was Brand Portfolio Director and Marketing Director for Carbonated Beverages, leading consumer equity programs for brands like Pepsi, 7Up, Mirinda, Gatorade, and others. Prior to that, he held multiple marketing leadership roles within PepsiCo in Venezuela and the broader Andean region, overseeing multimillion-dollar brand portfolios and market-specific growth initiatives.
He began his career in brand management roles at Kraft Foods and Philip Morris USA, where he was responsible for product innovation, category expansion, and regional business development across LATAM.
