London, England, United Kingdom, February 2025 – Eric Pirozzoli has been appointed as Interim Chief People Officer at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, where he will lead workforce strategy, talent development, and employee engagement initiatives. His extensive experience in NHS workforce planning, HR leadership, and organizational transformation makes him well-positioned to drive the trust’s people agenda forward.
Pirozzoli has been with Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust for over five years, previously serving as Deputy Chief People Officer since May 2024, where he played a pivotal role in workforce development and operational HR transformation. Prior to that, he held the position of Associate Director of Workforce, leading initiatives to enhance HR performance, workforce engagement, and strategic workforce planning.
Before joining Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, he spent over seven years at Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, where he served as Associate Director of HR – Performance Improvement. In this role, he was instrumental in enhancing workforce efficiency, employee experience, and HR governance. Earlier at Guy’s & St Thomas’, he worked as an HR Business Partner and HR Manager, where he contributed to workforce optimization and HR policy improvements.
Pirozzoli began his NHS career at UCLH NHS Foundation Trust, where he spent six years as HR Manager, developing key HR strategies, supporting workforce planning, and leading HR compliance initiatives. His strong background in HR transformation within the NHS enables him to drive meaningful improvements in people and culture strategies at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust.
With a Postgraduate Certificate in Strategic Workforce Planning from the University of West London and a Master’s degree in HR Management & Organisational Analysis from King’s College London, Pirozzoli combines academic expertise with extensive hands-on leadership experience. His leadership will play a critical role in shaping the Trust’s workforce strategy and ensuring a positive employee experience.
