Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, January 2026 – Eric Sequeira has started a new role as Vice President of Talent Acquisition at BlackRock, one of the world’s largest asset managers. His appointment strengthens BlackRock’s focus on attracting high-caliber global talent and advancing innovative recruitment strategies across its India operations and beyond.
In this role, Eric Sequeira will lead strategic talent acquisition initiatives, enhance employer branding, and partner with business leaders to build a future-ready workforce. He will focus on creating differentiated candidate experiences, leveraging data-driven hiring practices, and expanding BlackRock’s presence as an employer of choice in competitive financial and technology talent markets.
Prior to joining BlackRock, Eric Sequeira spent nearly seven years at Experian India, where he held multiple leadership roles in talent acquisition. Most recently, he served as Head of TA India & Employer Brand Lead for EMEA & APAC, steering hiring strategies across multiple regions while strengthening Experian’s global employer value proposition. Under his leadership, Experian India earned recognition as a Great Place to Work and was ranked among the world’s best workplaces, reflecting the impact of his recruitment and branding initiatives.
Earlier at Experian India, he progressed from Talent Acquisition Partner to Senior TA Partner and eventually Head of Talent Acquisition, managing large-scale hiring across technology, analytics, and business functions. He built high-performing recruitment teams, introduced innovative sourcing models, and championed diversity and inclusion initiatives that significantly improved hiring outcomes and candidate engagement.
Before Experian, Eric Sequeira served as Principal Consultant at WhiteCrow Research Pvt. Ltd, where he recruited for a wide range of technology and business roles while managing client relationships and delivery teams. His earlier assignments at ANR Consulting Group, Value Consulting, and Husys Consulting Pvt. Ltd provided him deep exposure to global recruitment, vendor management, HR operations, and full life-cycle hiring across the US, UK, and Indian markets.
An MBA in Human Resources from ITM Group of Institutions, Eric Sequeira brings over a decade of diverse experience spanning employer branding, global recruitment strategy, and talent operations. His transition to BlackRock marks a significant step in his career as he takes on a pivotal role in shaping talent for one of the world’s most influential financial institutions.
