Ventra Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Erika Flowers-Johnson as its new Chief People Officer. With a robust career spanning over two decades, Flowers-Johnson brings extensive experience in human resources management within the healthcare and technology sectors to Ventra Health.
Before her new role at Ventra, Flowers-Johnson served as the Vice President of People at J.S. Held LLC from March 2021 to April 2024 in New York City. At J.S. Held, she successfully transformed the Human Resources organization, developing a high-performing team that elevated the company to a certified Great Place To Work. Her strategic initiatives significantly enhanced employee experiences and supported personal and professional development across the company.
Previously, Flowers-Johnson was the Head of M&A HR Integration and Change Management for the Americas at Cognizant Technology Solutions, where from 2014 to March 2021, she led HR strategies for integrating acquisitions into new technology sectors like digital and cloud services. Her leadership was crucial in managing over 20 complex M&A deals involving more than 15,000 employees globally.
Earlier in her career, Flowers-Johnson also made substantial impacts at American Express, where as Director of HR Mergers and Acquisitions from 2012 to 2014, she managed the spin-off of American Express Business Travel into a highly successful joint venture.
