Boston, Massachusetts, United States, September 2025 – Cambridge Savings Bank, one of Massachusetts’ oldest and largest community banks, has announced the appointment of Erin (Tutela) Toomey as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In this role, she will lead the bank’s people strategy, workforce development, and culture initiatives to strengthen its mission of delivering exceptional service to customers and communities.
Erin joins Cambridge Savings Bank after serving as Vice President, Enterprise Talent Services at DentaQuest for over five years. In this role, she provided strategic oversight of enterprise-wide talent functions, guiding leadership development, workforce strategies, and organizational capability building across the healthcare services provider.
Prior to DentaQuest, she spent a decade at State Street, holding multiple leadership roles. Most recently, she was Managing Director, Head of North America Employee Relations, where she led employee relations strategy and governance across the region. Earlier at State Street, she served as Vice President, HR Business Partner, supporting senior leadership on strategic HR and business transformation initiatives.
Before her time at State Street, Erin was Senior Vice President, Human Resources Manager at Bank of America, where she managed HR for Columbia Management and supported talent strategy across a broad portfolio of financial services functions.
Her career began with a decade-long tenure at State Street as Assistant Vice President and HR Business Partner, where she built her foundation in employee engagement, talent management, and organizational development. Across nearly three decades, Erin has consistently demonstrated her ability to drive employee experience, strengthen culture, and align HR strategies with business objectives.
