Kansas City, Missouri, United States, January 2025 – Frances King has been appointed as Chief People Officer at SEGRA, where she will lead human resources strategy, executive development, and workforce engagement for one of the largest independent commercial fiber companies in the U.S. In this role, she will be responsible for aligning HR practices with business goals, fostering a high-performance culture, and enhancing employee experience to support SEGRA’s continued expansion.
Prior to joining SEGRA, Frances served as Vice President of Human Resources and Development at Americo Financial Life and Annuity, where she led strategic HR operations, talent acquisition, organizational development, and compliance for nearly eight years. She played a key role in building a strong workforce, enhancing HR policies, and driving a people-first culture.

Before Americo, Frances was Vice President of Human Resources/Talent Management at Optiv Security (formerly FishNet Security), where she was instrumental in post-merger integration, talent acquisition, and HR business strategy. Under her leadership, hiring cycle time significantly improved, candidate quality increased, and overall recruitment costs decreased.
Frances also spent over six years at NIC Inc. as Director of Human Resources, where she successfully built the HR function from the ground up, developed leadership training programs, and reduced employee turnover.
Earlier in her career, she held HR leadership roles at QC Holdings and Houlihan’s Restaurants, where she established workforce development programs, implemented risk management strategies, and built HR policies to support business growth.
