Arusha, Tanzania, July 2025 – Ms. Gabriella B. Kaisi has joined Northern Engineering Works Ltd (NEWL) as the Chief of Human Resource and Administration. In her new role, she will be responsible for steering the company’s people strategy, building a culture of excellence, and aligning HR and administrative functions with NEWL’s mission of becoming a leading Power Technology provider across East and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Prior to this appointment, Gabriella served for three years as the Head of People, Culture and Administration at VisionFund Tanzania Microfinance Bank Ltd, where she led the HR function across strategic business planning, talent management, compensation and benefits, organizational learning, and workforce development. She played a pivotal role in aligning HR strategy with business objectives and ensuring staff engagement and satisfaction through robust development frameworks.
Before VisionFund, Gabriella spent approximately three years at Compassion International, where she was Senior Strategic Partner – People & Culture. In this capacity, she supported the National Leadership Team with HR analytics, coaching, talent mapping, employee development plans, and succession planning. Her work significantly impacted organizational alignment and culture-building initiatives.
Earlier, Gabriella was associated with Airtel Tanzania as Manager – Human Resources (Talent Acquisition, L&D, and Industrial Relations). Over her three-and-a-half-year tenure, she led the talent acquisition function, developed employer branding strategies, and drove multiple learning and development programs in partnership with global vendors like Centum Learning. She also ensured smooth onboarding and effective talent reviews across business lines.
Gabriella also held HR roles at NMB Bank Plc as Regional HR Generalist, and AngloGold Ashanti Tanzania as Human Resources Superintendent, contributing to HR operations and talent development in the financial and mining sectors, respectively.
