Bangalore, Karnataka, India, April 2025 — Gaurav Mathur has been appointed as the new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Licious, India’s leading direct-to-consumer meat and seafood brand. With nearly two decades of experience in the technology sector, Gaurav joins the company to spearhead its next phase of innovation and tech-driven transformation.
Gaurav brings a distinguished track record of leadership across HealthPlix, WhiteHat Jr., Flipkart, and Oracle, where he led high-impact engineering teams and executed large-scale system transitions. At HealthPlix, he was instrumental in transforming the legacy PHP architecture into a modern Golang-based microservices infrastructure and played a pivotal role in building AI-powered clinical decision support tools. His work helped deliver measurable improvements in scalability, agility, and operational performance.
Before that, as Vice President of Software Development at WhiteHat Jr., Gaurav led engineering across student assessment and engagement platforms, while building a tech competency framework to boost performance consistency. During his time at Flipkart, he managed end-to-end product and engineering functions for e-commerce logistics and was instrumental in re-architecting the Warehouse Management System (WMS), implementing robotics in facilities, and scaling systems for peak traffic during events like Big Billion Days.
Earlier in his career, Gaurav held critical roles at Oracle, FICO, and Tavant, developing scalable marketing and analytics platforms, and even securing a patent for the Common Aggregator Framework (CAFÉ) used in SMS integrations.
In his new role at Licious, Gaurav will be responsible for advancing the company’s technology roadmap, overseeing digital platforms, and scaling systems to support rapid growth and consumer expansion. His deep expertise in software engineering, AI/ML integration, and tech operations will strengthen Licious’ mission to redefine the meat and seafood consumption experience in India with unmatched freshness, safety, and digital convenience.
