Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, October 2024 – Gautam Srivastava has been promoted to the role of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at The Phoenix Mills Ltd. In this elevated position, Gautam will lead the HR strategy, focusing on talent development, organizational transformation, and employee engagement across the company’s multiple business ventures.

Before his promotion to CHRO, Gautam Srivastava served as Director & Head of HR at The Phoenix Mills Ltd. for over a year. In this role, he played a pivotal part in shaping HR policies and talent strategies that helped the organization strengthen its workforce and improve operational efficiency across its business units.

Prior to joining The Phoenix Mills, Gautam was the Vice President & Head of HR at The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts. During his tenure, he successfully implemented talent acquisition and succession planning initiatives, establishing the company as an employer of choice in the luxury hospitality industry. His efforts led to significant improvements in talent retention and leadership development.

Gautam also held the position of Vice President of Human Resources at HDFC ERGO General Insurance, where he led the digital transformation of HR processes. Under his leadership, the company’s employee engagement and satisfaction rankings surged, making it one of the top employers in the insurance industry.

Earlier in his career, Gautam served as the Head of HR – India at ICG Medical, where he introduced performance-based compensation strategies that contributed to higher productivity and employee satisfaction. He was instrumental in aligning HR practices between the company’s UK and India offices, fostering a cohesive and high-performing workforce.

Before this, Gautam held leadership roles at Max Life Insurance, Barclays, and HSBC, where he led talent management, leadership development, and HR transformation initiatives that were critical to the success of these organizations.
