Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, October 2024 – Pavel Chopra has been appointed as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Zee Media Corporation Limited. In his new role, Pavel will oversee the strategic development of the HR function across Zee Media’s extensive news and digital platforms, ensuring alignment with the company’s growth objectives and organizational culture.
Before joining Zee Media Corporation Limited, Pavel Chopra served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at OxyZEN Express for nearly three years, where he led the HR strategy for the tech-logistics start-up. During his tenure, he was instrumental in establishing a pan-India network covering over 11,000 pin codes and scaling the company to approximately ₹100 Cr in consolidated revenue. His experience in senior stakeholder management and organizational development was critical to the company’s rapid growth.
Prior to OxyZEN Express, Pavel held the position of CHRO at Allcargo Limited and GATI Limited. In this role, he led the people strategy and cultural transformation for a 10,000+ employee organization spread across 300+ locations, driving alignment after Allcargo Logistics’ acquisition of GATI. His efforts were pivotal in ensuring seamless integration across the two companies.
At GATI Limited, Pavel held various leadership roles, including Chief HR, Admin, and Vigilance Officer and CHRO. He played a significant role in leading HR initiatives and aligning business strategies with the company’s operational goals during his five-year tenure, supporting over 10,000 employees.
Earlier in his career, Pavel worked as a Senior HR Business Partner and Head of Rewards & PMS at Sony Pictures Networks India, where he oversaw HR functions for technical and support departments, managing a substantial part of the organization’s workforce. His role at Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance as the Head of Compensation & Benefits and HRBP for Corporate Functions further enhanced his expertise in compensation management and HR policy development.
