London, United Kingdom, March 2025 – Gemma Barter has been appointed as Cluster Director of People & Culture at 4C Group, a global hospitality and property management company. In her new role, she will lead HR strategy, talent development, and culture transformation initiatives across multiple properties, ensuring a high-performance and people-centric workplace.
Barter joins 4C Group after serving as Director of Human Resources at The Westin London City and Canopy by Hilton London City for over two years. She played a pivotal role in HR operations, employee engagement, and leadership development, helping shape a strong organizational culture in the hospitality sector.
Previously, she held HR leadership roles at Shangri-La Group and Crowne Plaza London Docklands, where she was responsible for recruitment, employee relations, learning and development, and compliance. Her ability to enhance talent management programs and drive workforce engagement contributed significantly to the HR transformation efforts within these organizations.
Earlier in her career, Barter held HR management positions at LGH Hotels Management and IHG Hotels & Resorts, supporting workforce planning, succession strategies, and HR operational excellence across multiple properties. She holds extensive experience in HR systems, training programs, and compliance frameworks, making her a valuable asset in her new leadership role at 4C Group.
