Hechingen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, June 2024 – Georg Schmidt has joined Bentley InnoMed GmbH as the new Head of Global HR. With a rich background in human resources management and development, Georg brings extensive expertise to the team, aiming to enhance Bentley’s HR strategies and support its global workforce.
Before joining Bentley InnoMed GmbH, Georg served as HR Director EIMEA at Harvard Bioscience / Multi Channel Systems MCS GmbH for approximately 4.5 years. In this role, he led HR operations across Europe, the Middle East, India, and Africa, managing various HR functions and ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
Georg also worked as the Head of HR Germany at Multi Channel Systems MCS GmbH for over 2 years. He was responsible for all HR activities within Germany, including recruitment, employee engagement, and training and development.
Prior to his tenure at Harvard Bioscience, Georg took a brief break from his professional career to focus on his family business, during which he was on parental leave for nearly a year.
At CMS Legal Services, Georg held the role of HR Training and Development Manager for 2 years. He organized international training events, managed HR projects, and supported HR directors in their strategic initiatives.
Georg’s earlier career includes significant experience as an HR Business Partner Talent Acquisition at Goodyear Dunlop Tires Germany GmbH, where he managed recruitment and assessment centers for commercial apprentices. He also served as a consultant in organizational and strategy development in Namibia.
Additionally, Georg has worked with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH as a Technical Advisor and Junior Technical Advisor, focusing on knowledge management, quality management, and training consulting.
Georg began his career as an intern and company student at DaimlerChrysler AG, where he gained valuable experience in executive management development and international training consulting.
