Washington, D.C., United States, July 2026 — Giant Food has announced the appointment of Gregg Dorazio as Vice President of Marketing, reinforcing its leadership team as the company continues to strengthen its brand, enhance customer engagement, and drive growth across the greater Washington, D.C. region.

Gregg has been an integral member of the Giant Food leadership team since 2017 and most recently served as Head of Strategy & eCommerce, where he was part of the Executive Leadership Team reporting directly to the President. In that role, he led the company’s corporate strategy, managed the eCommerce profit and loss portfolio, and orchestrated cross-functional innovation and growth initiatives. Earlier, he served as Senior Director of eCommerce & Omnichannel Partnerships, helping transform Giant Food’s online shopping experience and omnichannel capabilities, following his initial leadership role as Senior Director of Brand Marketing.

In his new role as Vice President of Marketing, Gregg will lead Giant Food’s overall marketing organization, focusing on strengthening the company’s brand, deepening customer engagement across physical and digital channels, aligning marketing strategies with merchandising and operations, and supporting the retailer’s continued expansion across the greater Washington metropolitan region.

Prior to joining Giant Food, Gregg served as Director of Brand Marketing at Ahold Delhaize, where he partnered with merchandising portfolios representing more than US$25 billion in sales to develop integrated marketing programs that accelerated category growth. Earlier, he spent over a decade at General Mills, progressing through a series of increasingly senior marketing leadership roles including Senior Manager – Hispanic & Shopper Marketing, Senior Manager – Multicultural Marketing, Senior Manager – Shopper Marketing & Motorsports, Global Licensing Manager, and several brand management positions. During this period, he led multimillion-dollar marketing portfolios, managed multicultural marketing initiatives, oversaw shopper marketing strategy, developed global licensing partnerships, and drove brand growth across several iconic consumer brands.

Gregg began his professional career at Honeywell, where he worked as a Manufacturing Engineer and Six Sigma Black Belt, leading supplier quality improvements, manufacturing efficiency initiatives, and operational excellence programs within the aerospace business. Earlier, he also gained experience as a Business Analyst and Project Controls Consultant (Co-op) with EDS (now Hewlett-Packard).

Beyond his corporate leadership responsibilities, Gregg currently serves as a Board Member of the Boys & Girls Club of Annapolis & Anne Arundel County. He also previously served on the North American Board of Directors of the Mobile Marketing Association, representing Ahold Delhaize and contributing to the advancement of digital and mobile marketing practices across the retail industry.

With more than two decades of experience spanning brand marketing, customer growth, innovation, eCommerce, omnichannel retail, and strategic business transformation, Gregg brings a unique combination of marketing expertise, strategic thinking, and customer-centric leadership to his expanded role. His appointment reflects Giant Food’s continued investment in strengthening its brand while accelerating customer-focused innovation across both physical and digital retail channels.

Education: Gregg Dorazio earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Northwestern University (1994–1999). He later completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University (2003–2005), strengthening his expertise in strategic marketing, consumer behavior, and business leadership.
