Hyderabad, Telangana, India, March 2025 – Gland Pharma has appointed Wriddhee Maitra as its new Vice-President (Human Resources). In this role, he will oversee strategic HR initiatives, talent development, and organizational growth to support the company’s continued expansion in the global pharmaceutical sector.
Before joining Gland Pharma, Wriddhee served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Exeltis India, where he led the HR, Sales Training, Communications, and Administrative Services functions. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in enhancing employee engagement, driving HR transformation, and strengthening talent acquisition for the company’s operations in India.

Prior to Exeltis India, Wriddhee spent over two years at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, where he held senior HR leadership roles, including General Manager of Human Resources. He was responsible for leading HR strategy for India-based research teams and managing HR operations for discovery, generics API, formulations, and global business units. His tenure at Glenmark was marked by significant contributions in workforce planning and leadership development.
Earlier in his career, he spent over five years at Abbott Healthcare, where he was Deputy General Manager – Human Resources. In this role, he led HR initiatives for Abbott Truecare and Abbott PR&D Centre in Mumbai, overseeing business HR strategy, talent acquisition, and organizational development. Wriddhee’s early career included key HR positions at BCD Travel, ICICI Prudential AMC, Siemens Shared Services, and Tyco Electronics, where he honed his expertise in HR transformation, change management, and talent strategy.
