Barcelona, Cataluña, España, September 2025 – DuPont has announced the appointment of Gonzalo X. Arenas as Global Rewards & HR Operations Leader for its Aramids Business Unit, makers of world-renowned brands such as Kevlar® and Nomex®. In this strategic role, Arenas will lead the global rewards strategy and HR operations for the Aramids division, supporting DuPont’s mission to protect and empower people worldwide through cutting-edge materials and innovation.

Prior to joining DuPont, Arenas served as Global Head of Benefits & Recognition at Galderma, where he spearheaded global benefits, mobility, and recognition programs across 45 countries. He also held the role of Benefits, Mobility and Recognition Global Program Lead, driving employee experience and wellbeing initiatives for the dermatology-focused pharmaceutical leader.

Before Galderma, he worked with A.P. Moller – Maersk as Rewards Deployment Manager, M&A and Projects, leading rewards integration and global payroll deployment. He also held roles including Manager, Payroll Deployment for South-West Europe, where he managed HR operations across Spain, Portugal, Croatia, and the Maghreb, and Rewards & Employee Relations Manager for the Spanish Gateways portfolio, overseeing policy deployment for multiple entities.

Arenas also contributed to the Public Catalan Broadcasting Corporation (CCMA) as ER & C&B Manager, managing employee relations, collective negotiations, and diversity initiatives. Earlier, at CaixaBank, he spent over seven years in various HR and employee relations roles, leading compensation and benefits integrations, restructuring negotiations, and large-scale policy harmonization projects in Spain’s largest banking group.

He began his legal career with Garrigues and Uría Menéndez, specializing in employment law and HR due diligence, before transitioning into corporate HR leadership. His strong background in labor law, compensation, and benefits has been the cornerstone of his success in global HR leadership roles.
