Boston, Massachusetts, United States, June 2025 – Greg Thompson has stepped into the role of Head of People Analytics Decision Support at Fidelity Investments, marking a significant milestone in a career spanning more than two decades at the financial services giant. Based in Boston, Greg brings extensive expertise in HR analytics, data-driven decision support, and digital transformation to his new leadership position.
Throughout his 21-year tenure at Fidelity Investments, Greg has held several pivotal roles. Most recently, as VP, HR Analytics & Operations, he led high-impact projects that advanced the firm’s analytics capabilities, shaped talent strategies, and elevated operational excellence across the organization. Earlier, as Director, HR Data & Analytics, Greg built robust analytical frameworks that drove insights for workforce planning, employee engagement, and business alignment.
Prior to his recent positions, Greg served as Director, HR Product Management and Director, HR Platform Management at Fidelity, spearheading the modernization of HR systems and enhancing user experience for associates and HR partners alike. He began his journey with Fidelity as a Project Manager in Human Resources, driving process improvements and project delivery in a fast-evolving HR landscape.
Beyond Fidelity, Greg’s experience includes impactful stints as a Project Manager in HR Services and IT at Agilent Technologies, and as a Project Manager and Business Analyst at HP, where he honed his skills in technology-led business transformation and cross-functional leadership.
Greg is also recognized for his academic contributions as an Adjunct Professor at Boston College – Woods College of Advancing Studies, where he teaches HR Analytics in the Master of Science in Leadership program.
