Mumbai, India – Gyanendra Shukla has taken charge as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director at Rallis India Ltd, stepping into his new role with a robust background of over 30 years in agribusiness leadership. Mr. Shukla’s recent appointment marks a significant milestone as he brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record to Rallis, a leading name in India’s crop care industry.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Shukla was the President & Director (CEO) at JK Agri Genetics Limited, where for nearly five years he led the company’s operations across a variety of crop segments including Cotton, Maize, and Vegetables, significantly impacting its market presence. JK Agri Genetics is part of the JK Organisation which holds a prominent position in industries such as Automotive Tyres and Hybrid Seeds.
Before his tenure at JK Agri Genetics, Mr. Shukla held multiple leadership roles at Monsanto, a pivotal figure in global agriculture. As CEO for Monsanto’s Africa and India regions, he managed comprehensive P&L responsibilities and led a wide range of strategic initiatives that bolstered Monsanto’s leadership across these vast markets. His roles included overseeing business operations, technology development, and corporate affairs which underscored his versatile expertise in managing large scale agricultural operations.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Shukla made significant contributions at Hoechst AG and Syngenta, where he began as a Technical Officer and swiftly moved up the ranks to manage strategic portfolios focusing on herbicides and agricultural productivity enhancements.
