Westbay, Doha, Qatar, December 2025 — Hamad Al-Naimi has taken on a new leadership role as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at Invest Qatar, where he will lead national investment strategy, policy alignment, and long-term growth frameworks supporting Qatar’s foreign direct investment agenda and economic diversification priorities.
In his current appointment at Invest Qatar, Hamad Al-Naimi brings over six years of progressive leadership within the organization, having steadily advanced through strategy and investor relations leadership roles. Prior to assuming the CSO role, he served as Strategy Manager, where he played a central role in shaping strategic roadmaps, sectoral investment priorities, and institutional performance governance. Earlier, he led stakeholder engagement and investment positioning as Manager of Investor Relations, strengthening Invest Qatar’s interface with global investors and institutional partners.
Earlier in his public sector leadership journey, Hamad served as Executive Director of Government Development at the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, where he supported national development initiatives, institutional capability building, and public-sector modernization programs.
Before Invest Qatar, he spent over four years with Qatar Development Bank, progressing through PMO Planner, Senior PMO Planner, and later Head of Business Intelligence, where he developed strategic planning, enterprise performance management, and business intelligence frameworks supporting SME development and national economic growth.
Across his career, Hamad has developed deep expertise in investment promotion, strategic planning, business intelligence, and public-sector transformation, contributing directly to Qatar’s long-term economic diversification agenda.
Hamad Al-Naimi holds a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) in International Business and an MBA with a specialization in International Trade from IPAG Business School.
