Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, April 2025 – Hamsini Ramamurthy has taken on a new role as Head of Human Resources at Madura Fashion and Lifestyle, a division of Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. (ABFRL). In her new position, Hamsini will lead the HR strategy across the brand portfolio, driving talent transformation, leadership development, and future-ready people practices to support ABFRL’s high-growth retail ambitions.
Prior to this role, Hamsini Ramamurthy served as Head of Human Resources at Birla Pivot, where she contributed to the foundational HR design and capability building of the group’s infrastructure services venture. She played a key role in laying down people practices aligned with the Group’s broader vision of diversification.
Before that, Hamsini spent over 19 years at UltraTech Cement, where she held the position of Zonal Head – Human Resources, overseeing HR functions for Cement Marketing, Ready Mix Concrete, and Building Products across South India and Maharashtra. Her long tenure was marked by operational scale, transformation mandates, and robust field engagement across diverse geographies.
She began her HR career as HR Officer – South RPC at UB Group Spirits Division, and later worked as an HR Executive at Comat Technologies, gaining early experience in HR generalist roles and industrial relations.
