Berlin, Germany, December 2024 – Harish Shekar has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Siemens’ energy business, effective January 2025. With over two decades of exemplary service at Siemens, Harish brings extensive experience in financial management and strategic leadership across both domestic and international markets.
In his new role, Harish will oversee the financial operations of Siemens’ energy business, driving financial efficiency, strategic investments, and long-term growth in a rapidly evolving energy landscape.
Harish Shekar has a distinguished career at Siemens, beginning in 2005. Most recently, he served as Vice President at Siemens AG, where he led the Shareholder Controlling Department for subsidiaries across the ASEAN-Pacific, Asia, and Middle East regions, ensuring optimal financial governance and strategic alignment for over 12 years.
Prior to this, Harish was the Country CFO for Siemens S.A.E. in Egypt, managing financial operations for four subsidiaries with a combined turnover exceeding €300 million and a workforce of over 500 employees. His leadership during this tenure was pivotal in driving operational efficiency and financial performance.
Earlier, Harish held senior roles in Corporate Finance Treasury for the ASEAN & Pacific region, showcasing his expertise in managing complex financial structures and fostering fiscal discipline.
