Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2025 – Harsh V. Trehan has been promoted to CHRO & Executive Vice President – Human Resources, India at GSK, where he now leads the HR function for the company’s pharmaceutical business in India. In this strategic role, Harsh is driving a bold people and culture transformation that aligns with GSK’s global vision and fuels the company’s growth in a highly competitive and dynamic healthcare landscape.
Prior to this promotion, Harsh served for over four years as People Services Lead at GSK Global Capability Centre in Bengaluru, where he played a key role in building a world-class HR operations hub to support global businesses. His leadership helped establish critical capabilities in people services and fostered innovation within GSK’s global HR ecosystem.
Before rejoining GSK in 2021, Harsh was Chief People Officer at Compass Group India for over seven years, where he steered end-to-end HR strategy, talent management, and culture transformation initiatives for one of the world’s largest employers in food and support services.
Earlier, he served as Director Human Resources at BAE Systems India, where he led the HR function across business lines and contributed to the company’s long-term organizational effectiveness and people strategy.
Harsh’s previous tenure at GSK Consumer Healthcare spanned over a decade, during which he held multiple roles including General Manager – HR, Site HR Head, and Regional HR Manager – East, showcasing his long-standing association and deep expertise in healthcare and HR leadership.
He began his career at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, where he contributed to strategic HR projects focused on recruitment, competency development, and employee relations. Harsh holds a Master’s in Personnel Management from SIBM Pune, underscoring his academic grounding in HR.
