London, United Kingdom, March 2025 – Heather Cooper has joined Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) as a Senior Director in its Tax division, bringing over 20 years of experience in HR and reward across both consulting and in-house roles. She will play a key role in strengthening A&M’s HR and reward practice in the UK, leveraging her extensive expertise in executive compensation, incentive design, job architecture, and performance management.
Prior to joining A&M, Cooper spent three years with Korn Ferry as a Senior Principal, where she led reward strategy projects for clients across multiple industries, including automotive, energy, government, industrial, professional services, and technology. She advised at both Board and operational HR levels, with notable assignments including developing remuneration structures for multinational organizations, harmonizing reward arrangements post-merger, and designing global performance management frameworks.
Before her consulting career, Cooper spent seven years in generalist HR roles at L’Oréal before transitioning to Head of Compensation and Benefits for a multinational corporation in the nuclear sector, where she spent eight years. In this role, she was instrumental in shaping strategic reward programs and enhancing compensation frameworks at an international level.
Cooper holds a bachelor’s degree in linguistics from the University of Cambridge. Her diverse industry experience and in-depth understanding of HR and reward structures make her a valuable addition to A&M’s growing UK practice.
