Edinburgh, Scotland, August 2024 – Helen H. has been appointed as the Chief Operating & People Officer at Lothian Pension Fund. In her new role, she will be responsible for overseeing both the operational and human resources functions of the organization, ensuring the effective management and growth of the Fund’s assets while fostering a positive and productive workplace environment.
Helen has been with Lothian Pension Fund for over four years, previously serving as the Head of People & Communications and Chief People Officer. In these roles, she was instrumental in leading HR strategies, driving internal communications, and contributing to the overall success of the Fund.
Before joining Lothian Pension Fund, Helen was a Non-Executive Board Member at Dundee & Angus College, where she also chaired the Audit & Risk Committee. Her experience in governance and risk management has been invaluable in shaping her strategic approach to HR and operations.
Prior to her board position, Helen worked as an Executive HR Consultant at HH People – HBSM Honeyman Ltd, where she provided consultancy services across various sectors, focusing on HR strategy, governance, and executive leadership.
Earlier in her career, Helen held several significant roles at RBS, including Head of Policy, Wellbeing & Governance (HR) and Senior HR Business Partner. During her time at RBS, she was responsible for HR policy development, employee wellbeing initiatives, and strategic HR business partnering.
