COLUMBUS, Ohio, USA — The Huntington National Bank has named Melissa Holding as the new Director of Wealth Management, a role in which she will lead the bank’s services including private banking, wealth management, and legacy planning. This strategic appointment is part of Huntington’s ongoing efforts to accelerate growth in its wealth management segment.
Melissa Holding’s new role will involve overseeing a broad spectrum of services, from investment and portfolio management to fiduciary administration, trust services, institutional custody, and full-service retail brokerage investments. She will report directly to Brant Standridge, President of Consumer & Regional Banking at Huntington.
“Melissa brings deep expertise and a strong record of performance to this key role. She will lead our next stage of growth and progress, advance our priorities, and continue to elevate our Wealth Management team,” said Standridge. This transition follows the retirement of Michael Robinson, who leaves a lasting impact after a distinguished 12-year tenure with Huntington.
“Mike’s fantastic leadership is reflected in the progress and growth Huntington continues to see in the wealth segment. We are appreciative of how he has grown Huntington Private Bank and our wealth business and created an award-winning culture for our colleagues. He has embedded in his team a dedication to establishing trust, staying abreast of what is impacting markets, and working hard to make life better for our clients,” Standridge added.
Extensive Industry Experience
Prior to this role, Holding served as Huntington’s Mass Affluent Client Segment Director, where she significantly contributed to the bank’s strategy and growth for affluent clients. Her extensive background includes a tenure as Executive Vice President and Head of Premier Banking at Truist, and more than 20 years at BB&T in various wealth leadership roles.
Holding holds both a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from Campbell University and will be based in Columbus, Ohio, Huntington’s headquarters.
