Mumbai, India – October 2024 – Indraneel Dutt has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Ion Exchange India Ltd, effective October 1, 2024. Indraneel, who has been serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) since 2023, will now step into the role of Managing Director (MD). His extensive global experience and strategic leadership will continue to drive the company’s growth, building on the strong foundation laid over 60 years in India and international markets.
As Indraneel Dutt takes on his new responsibilities, Mr. Rajesh Sharma, the former Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), will transition to the role of Executive Chairman, continuing to guide the company with his visionary leadership. Under Mr. Sharma’s direction, Ion Exchange has grown into a global leader in the water and environmental sector.
Indraneel Dutt has been with Ion Exchange India Ltd for more than a year, serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) since September 2023. During his time as CEO, he led the company’s water and wastewater business across over 23 countries, overseeing 17 manufacturing operations and multiple business units. Indraneel was responsible for driving growth, optimizing business performance, and leading the integration of recent acquisitions in Europe.
Prior to joining Ion Exchange, Indraneel was the Managing Director for India & South Asia – Water Business at Danaher Corporation for more than three years, where he led the water quality platform for the region. His leadership was key in driving strategic growth across various markets, including water quality monitoring and chemical treatment businesses.
Before his time at Danaher, Indraneel served as the APAC Growth Leader at OTT HydroMet for about a year and a half, where he focused on expanding OTT Hydromet’s solar portfolio across the Asia-Pacific region. He built a country-specific growth strategy, driving significant business expansion in multiple markets across the region.
Earlier in his career, Indraneel held various leadership roles at GE Power, where he served as the CEO of Solar for India & South Asia for nearly three years. He played a crucial role in building GE’s solar business in India, introducing new products, and laying the groundwork for digital services and O&M solutions in the solar space.
