Hitchin, England, United Kingdom, June 2024 – Jackie Smith has joined FFE Ltd as the new Head of HR. Jackie brings extensive experience in HR management and consultancy, aiming to enhance the company’s human resources strategies and operations.
Prior to joining FFE Ltd, Jackie served as HR Manager/Consultant at Newham Sixth Form College (NewVIc) from January 2024 to June 2024. In this role, she provided strategic HR support and consultancy, ensuring the smooth functioning of HR operations.
Before her tenure at NewVIc, Jackie spent over six years at the University of Bedfordshire, where she held two significant roles. From August 2018 to October 2023, she was the Head of HR Operations, overseeing HR functions and ensuring alignment with the university’s strategic goals. She initially joined the university as an HR Manager in July 2017, contributing to HR policy development and staff management.
Jackie also served as a Trustee at Urban Saints from March 2014 to December 2019, where she provided governance and strategic direction for the organization. Her experience at University College London (UCL) as an HR Manager for the Institute for Clinical Trials and Methodology from July 2016 to July 2017 involved managing HR activities for clinical trials and research projects.
From August 2011 to June 2016, Jackie was an HR Manager at the Single Homeless Project, where she focused on HR management for a charity dedicated to tackling homelessness. Prior to this, she worked as an HR Manager at the Herts Young Homeless Group from November 2003 to August 2011, leading HR initiatives to support the organization’s mission.
