Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, October 2025 — Jacob George has been appointed as the new Chairman and Managing Director of Duroflex, one of India’s leading sleep and comfort solution brands. With over a decade of experience at the company, Jacob steps into this leadership role to drive Duroflex’s next phase of growth and innovation, strengthening its position in the dynamic sleep solutions market.

Before this appointment, Jacob served as Whole-time Director – Growth & Strategy at Duroflex from 2018 to 2022, where he played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s footprint across western India, scaling manufacturing capabilities in central India, and leading digital transformation initiatives. His strategic vision and execution have been instrumental in forging key partnerships — including collaborations with IPL franchises — that enhanced Duroflex’s brand visibility and consumer engagement nationwide.

Upon his appointment, Jacob expressed his excitement about leading Duroflex, emphasizing the company’s strong foundation across financial, operational, and talent dimensions. He highlighted Duroflex’s award-winning innovations such as the Wave Twin Smart Bed and the Duropedic Back Magic mattress, India’s only orthopaedic range endorsed by the National Health Academy, as proof of the company’s deep consumer understanding and design-led excellence.

He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership.
